Petra, Masada, Dead Sea 3 days

Petra 3 days

Itinerary Petra, Masada, Dead Sea 3 days

Masada is the famous place where the Romans laid siege for months, and eventually captured Masada from the Israelite's. Masada is located in the desert on a plateau. In 31 B.C. Herod the Great constructed 2 palaces on Masada for his personal use. To reach Masada there is a cable car, or take the snake path and walk up.

Dead Sea is the deepest lake with a depth of 304 meters. The water of the Dead Sea is abundant with minerals, and people flock here from all over the world to soak in its warm waters. The water is 33% salt, so much salt, that no living thing can survive.

Petra is the number one tourist site in Jordan today. Entering the site you will soon understand why it became one of the seven wonders of the world. The Treasury is an awesome site to see, with its Roman like facade, and its amazing size. It is said that the room inside was used as a sacrificial chamber. Continuing on tour the Roman theater with the tombs jutting out between the seating. There are many more facades, mourning halls, crypts, caves, and other things to view.
