Mexico: Private tour to Taxco & Cacahuamilpa Caves
During this private 12h tour you will visit 2 gorgeous places: a colonial-era city of Taxco with its gorgeous architecture in the 250-year old Church of Santa Prisca (UNESCO Tentative List), and Grutas de Cacahuamilpa National Park - one of the largest & most beautiful cave systems in the world.
Itinerary
After pickup, head to Cacahuamilpa Caves - a protected natural area that is home to an infinite systems tunnels & caverns. Those connect to chambers & underground halls that were once used by the Chontales tribes to worship the gods of the underworld. After a 1.5h guided tour of the cave system, we will go to Taxco. Situated in the mountains, this beautiful colonial town is famous for its long-standing mining & silversmith traditions, narrow picturesque streets & architecture that have not changed for the last couple of centuries. One of the symbols of the town is a UNESCO-nominated 200-year-old baroque-style church, the Santa Prisca Cathedral. After exploring these two wonderful places, return to your vehicle & relax on the way back to Mexico City.

Logistics
• DEPARTURE TIME & LOCATION: Default departure times are 6 am & 7 am but we can also adjust them per your request. Our guide will meet you up at the requested time & location and might need to contact you by phone. Therefore, please kindly provide a valid phone number during your booking.
• TOUR DURATION & CUSTOMIZATION: The standard duration of the tour is 9 h from the moment of a meetup. On the other hand, the tour is customizable which means we can adjust the time you spend in each destination. For example, if you want to visit an extra location (attraction/restaurant/market, etc.), you can do it on a complimentary basis if this visit (1) fits the default duration of the tour & (2) doesn't involve a change of the route.
• TRANSPORT: Complimentary pick-up/drop-off is included: please indicate the exact time & location for your pick-up during your booking (e.g. in the "Special Requirements" field). That is to say, we can pick you up from the following parts of Mexico City: Polanco, Condesa, Roma, Centro Historico. Other more remote locations might involve an extra fee.
• WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU: Comfortable clothes & (preferrable hiking) shoes; hat/cap, sunglasses & sunscreen; travel insurance; good mood & curiosity.
