Mexico: Private Cider & Food Tour to Puebla & Cholula
Join our 14h private cider & food tour from Mexico City to get to know rich gastronomic traditions & cultural heritage of 2 beautiful cities - Cholula & Puebla - both located in the State of Puebla. The history & culture of the state is one of the world's treasures and its capital is currently on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This designation also applies to the state's exquisite cuisine which combines indigenous, Spanish, and Arab influences. Puebla is nationwide-famous for its diverse regional dishes and is also one of the main gastronomic regions of the country.
Itinerary
In the morning, meet your guide & head to discover Cholula. Considered a "Magical Town", this place is best known for its Great Pyramid with the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios sanctuary on top. Once there, we will have a walking tour of the historic center, visit a local cider production & explore the tastes of Puebla's' food specialties in the municipal market.
Afterward, we will go to the state's capital - Puebla. There we will visit a monastery that is considered the birthplace of the most famous regional dish - mole poblano. Thereafter, we will have a comprehensive walking tour of Puebla seeing its lovely colonial buildings, colorful lanes & beautiful churches. On our way, we will be discovering Puebla’s cuisine trying some of its most typical food of Puebla in local food markets & restaurants. Also, we will visit the famous Parian crafts market where you can see unique regional souvenirs and sample traditional candies. Except for it, during this tour, we will try some of the most popular regional drinks such as local hand-made liquors, pulque & artisanal mezcal. After a full day of discoveries, return to our vehicle & relax on the way back to Mexico City.

Complimentary pick-up/drop-off is included: please indicate the exact time & location for your pick-up during your booking (e.g. in the "Special Requirements" field). That is to say, we can pick you up from those parts of Mexico City: Polanco, Condesa, Roma, Centro Historico. Other more remote locations might involve an extra fee.
• TOUR DURATION & CUSTOMISATION: The standard duration of the tour counts from the moment of a meetup till the end of the tour. On the other hand, the tour is customisable which means we can adjust the time you spend in each destination. For example, if you want to visit an extra location (attraction/restaurant/market, etc.), you can do it on a complimentary basis if this visit (1) fits the default duration of the tour & (2) doesn't involve a major change of the route.
