Over the years we have learned a bit about gin as we have grown our collection to over 400, making it amongst the largest private gin displays in the world.

Gin is British. As British as the Queen, tennis at Wimbledon, tea with milk and cucumber sandwiches. It’s fair to say that we Brits are very passionate about gin in all of its intriguing dimensions: its past, with its rich and sometimes dark history, to its present, with the amazing array of botanicals being used to create a fantastic small batch and artisan gin.

It’s undeniable that gin is here to stay. And who better to guide you through the rich history and flavours of gin than gin expert and host here at the Solar Branco Estate, Ali Bullock.

What is included:

• Your gin tasting takes you through the very best gins from the UK as you also learn about the history of gin and its modern renaissance.

• You will try 3 taster gins with selected tonics and garnishes for each one.

• At the end of the tasting, you are invited to enjoy 2 full G&Ts – with the option of choosing from the ones you have sampled or picking from the wider selection in the gin library.

• Light snacks will be served during the tasting.

Want to experience this tasting for free? To qualify for a free tasting (max 2 people) bring us a craft gin, one we do not have in our collection. To add a little mystery, we don’t tell you if we have it before you arrive.

Notes:

• Max: 6 guests (private tastings can be arranged for bigger groups, please contact us)

• Free tasting: The bottle must be a craft gin, unopened and left in the collection when you leave.

• Gin library: If the house has guests staying, the library may not be available, and we will host the tasting in another location on the estate.

• Transport: This experience involves alcohol. Please consider a designated driver or book a taxi.
