Enjoy several hours discovering Lisbon. Take a drive down Liberty Avenue, arriving at the Rossio in the heart of the city. We'll take a short walk in Alfama, the oldest and most picturesque quarter of this romantic city. Then don't miss your appointment for a special wine tasting at a local handicraft store. Our drive continues leisurely along the riverside as we admire the Praca do Comercio and the Tagus bridge which we will cross if possible. Arriving in the Discoveries Quarter, we will stop at the Torre de Belem and the Discoveries Monument, built in commemoration of D. Henrique o Navegante. We'll visit the church at the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, a masterpiece of Manueline Style and the Coach Museum, housing the world's largest collection (On Mondays both the sites are closed, replaced by a visit to The Ajuda Palace). Then we'll break for lunch that will be bought on your own. Leaving Lisbon, we'll head north to the city of Fatima. Discover Fatima Sanctuary. A cornerstone of the Catholic faith and destination for pilgrims arriving from all around the world, the Sanctuary of Fatima is visited by hundreds of thousands every year. Here, you may visit the Basilica housing the tombs of Jacinta, Lucia and Francisco, as well as the Chapel of apparitions. Time is also provided for attending mass or touring the sanctuary's grounds.
