2-Hour Horseback Riding Tour in Guanacaste
Start by meeting a driver at your hotel at your chosen departure time: horseback rides begin at 8:30am, 11:30am, and 2:30pm, and depending on your location pickup may be up to 30 minutes prior to the ride. Travel to a horse riding center in an air-conditioned van, then go over the basics of riding safety and technique with a guide, and meet your horse—the horses are trained to be suitable for beginning riders. Swing up into the saddle, and hit the trail, following your guide into Guanacaste’s fascinating dry tropical forest. Learn about the animals that live in the forest as you ride, and watch for some of the monkeys, large mammals, and birds that thrive in the trees, then ride to a hilltop with sweeping views to the Pacific Ocean. Keep riding to an old plantation house overlooking Salinas bay, where you’ll refresh with a cool drink and fresh fruit before returning to the horse riding center. This 2-hour riding tour concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.
