Seville Evening Tapas, History and Culture Walking Tour
Begin your evening food tour of Seville by meeting your guide and small group a little before start time. You’ll be doing a moderate amount of walking and eating standing up in some venues—like the locals do—so be ready to take the city on foot. Your destination is the Santa Cruz neighborhood, an atmospheric warren of alleyways that was once the city’s Jewish Quarter. As you stroll the streets, pop into bars to taste local bites, washed down with drinks. Most of the bars you’ll visit during this tour are more than 100 years old and have architecture worth admiring. Expect to sample orange wine, Spain’s favorite vermouth, regional specialities, and Spanish signatures like Iberian ham. Your tour ends in Plaza Nueva, less than a 1-mile (1.5-kilometer) walk from where you met your guide. This tour can be adapted to many dietary requirements: vegetarians, pescatarians, dairy-free, non-drinkers, pregnant people, and those who prefer to avoid gluten. It’s not suitable for celiacs or vegans, while a combination of eating requirements may also be hard to accommodate. If you have a serious food allergy, a waiver will be required.
