Nablus and Jenin
Pick up is at 07:30 a.m. Drive to Mt. Gerizim, to the Samaritan village that overlooks Nablus. While standing by the Samaritan temple, your guide will tell you about the history of the Samaritan people, who were numbered at over a million at the time of the Roman era, and today only a few hundred remain. Continue on to the village to meet the Samaritan priest, and tour a local museum.
Walk to Jacob's well, inside a Orthodox Christian monastery, which has been used for thousands of years for Christian baptisms. Stop for a look at Tel Balata, a UNESCO heritage site, and is an ancient city.
Arriving in Nablus, tour the ancient Old City, and have a taste of the famous knafeh (a pastry that Nablus is known for). The city as you will see is rich with history from the Roman era and to the Crusader, Ottoman, and Mamluk empires. Visit the soap factory, the spice shops, and the Turkish bath from the 13th century.
Stop at the holy city of Joseph's Tomb, believed to be the burial site of the son of Jacob. After this we will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant in the village of Zababdeh, with an Arabic style lunch. (Price of the lunch is 40 sheckles= $11, not included in the tour price)
Travel north to a Refugee camp in Jenin, that gives you a look into the struggle and hardships of the Palestinian people. Walk through the Jenine marketplace, where you can buy souvenirs or gifts.
Arrival in Jerusalem about 17:30 p.m.
