After being picked up from your hotel, enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside alongside rolling sugarcane fields and pass by local villages as you make your way to the historic village of Viseisei. The legendary site of the canoe landing of the first Melanesian people to arrive in Fiji, and home to a traditional ceremonial bure hut and a charming craft market.
After exploring the village, head off for the magnificent Sleeping Giant Orchid Gardens, a beautiful botanical park that houses more than 2,000 varieties of orchids. Stroll along the canopied boardwalks, pass by stretches of landscaped lawns and duck under branches in the rainforest as you admire the exotic delicate flowers on display in this horticultural gem.
Continue as you head towards the Sri Siva Subrahmaniya Swami Temple. This colourful and ornate temple is a prime example of Dravidian architecture and the largest Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere. Admire the stunning and elaborate depictions of Hindu myths that decorate the temple’s exterior and interior. Afterwards, visit the town of Nadi, where you can spend time chatting with the locals and taking some time browsing the stalls for Fijian wares at the market before returning back to the hotel.
