Begin your visit directly at the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary in Quintana Roo or request hotel pickup from Tulum or Playa del Carmen, then meet your guide for an in-depth tour of this unique sanctuary that houses a variety of species of monkeys, birds, snakes, ostriches, and zebras. Discover the sanctuary’s rehabilitation and reintroduction programs and its promotion of animal welfare and conservation as you learn about each individual animal and its history. Interact with a few of the animal residents, including monkeys and birds, and enjoy plenty of time to ask your guide questions about the sanctuary and its mission.
