Muriwai Beach Gannet Eco Tour
Muriwai Beach extends 60km and it's famous for its sparkling black sand, Surfing paradise and The Gannet Colony.
Tour starts with picking you up from Auckland CBD, then you'll enjoy a one-hour scenic drive through the Waitakere Ranges, Kumeu Wine trail and Strawberry farms. With a stop for a scenic lookout over Muriwai Beach, Motutara Island and The Gannet Colony.
Firstly we will have a few stops at different lookouts over the Gannet Colony for a closer look at the Gannet easy hikes. Then we will have another stop by the beautiful cove just at the beginning of the beach. The Gannets nesting season is from August until March, you might find some off-season too but it's not 100 per cent guaranteed.
You will be able to spend about one hour on the beach for a swim or just relax and enjoy the stunning views. After that, we go for some wine tasting at one of Kumeu's oldest wineries where you will get a chance to see the beautiful vines and capture some amazing photos. After that, we head back to Auckland CBD.
