Magnificent Ephesus Tour From Kusadasi / Selcuk Hotels
In the morning, your guide will meet you at your Kusadasi hotel. We then head to Ephesus.
Ephesus was the second largest city in the Roman Empire with over 250,000 people in the 1st century BC. It was also a harbor city, and this giant city was built entirely of marble. During the tour, you will also see the statue of the goddess Nike, a local pharmacy, Hadrian's Gate, the Library of Celsus, Marble Street, and Harbour Street.
The Temple of Artemis, or Artemision—also known as the Temple of Diana—was a Greek temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis. The House of the Virgin Mary is believed by many to be the place where Mary, the mother of Jesus, spent her final years. According to tradition, she arrived in Ephesus with St. John and lived there from around 37 to 45 CE, until her Assumption or Dormition. The Isabey Mosque, constructed in 1374–1375, is one of the oldest and most impressive works of architectural art remaining from the Anatolian Beyliks. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
