Kuranda Artillery Museum, Skyrail and Scenic Rail ex Cairns (12:00 skyrail, 15:30 train)
Step back in history, visiting the Southern Hemisphere's largest museum dedicated to armoured vehicles and artillery pieces. The museum boasts the largest collection of armoured vehicles in the southern hemisphere! Wander back in time as you discover captured vehicles from World War 1 & 2. Fascinating collections include Tanks, Armoured Personnel Carriers, Field Guns, Howitzers & Mortars and include a Tiger 1, Panther Ausf A, T34/85, Sherman M4A and over 190 other armoured and artillery pieces.
Walk next door and using your Kuranda Boarding Pass skip past the ticketing lines to board the Skyrail, an experience which takes you over & through the rainforest canopy with two stops along the way. Take in the views of Barron Falls from The Edge Lookout and visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre at Red Peak Station.
Enjoy 2 hours to explore the Heritage Markets and quaint village in the rainforest. Limited time to explore Kuranda and the many market stalls and attractions, before boarding the Kuranda Scenic Railway.
Board the famous train for an amazing journey, as you travel one of the world’s most scenic rail routes, through hand-hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges. Fantastic views through the Barron Gorge and out to the Coral Sea await as you snake your way home.
