Day in the Sounds Punga Cove Resort
Spend the day exploring and enjoying lunch at beautiful Punga Cove Resort. Depart Picton on our Ship Cove cruise before being dropped off at this picturesque and iconic Resort nestled in the stunning Queen Charlotte Sounds. Enjoy a leisurely lunch, soak up the scenery, go for a walk or a swim before your afternoon pick up to return to Picton.
Here is a brief description of what your day would look like:
• Depart Picton at 9am and cruise up through the Queen Charlotte Sound while enjoying your skipper's commentary on the surrounds, residents and local wildlife. You will have the opportunity to spend 30 minutes ashore at historical Ship Cove, a favourite anchorage of Captain Cook in the 1770's before being dropped off at Punga Cove Resort.
• Punga Cove is just the place for a relaxing lunch. The resort is set in picture perfect surroundings with the resort's lunch venue, The Boat Shed Bar, boasting breathtaking views across the Endeavour Inlet. Sit back and relax whilst observing the coming and goings of boaties and day walkers or make use of the resort's swimming pool, spa and kayaks (charges apply).
• Upon your return board the Mail Boat and head back to Picton. Return would be between 5:30 pm and 6 pm
• Food and beverages are all payable to Punga Cove Resort directly and are not included in your cruise cost.
**Please note that during our Winter Months the boat may return to Picton as early as 4pm. The reservations staff will confirm the tour content and arrival time upon check in.
