A royal residence set in Kensington Gardens is a functional royal palace. Since 17th centuary it has been a residency of the British royal family. Currently, it's where Prince William lives with the Duchess of Cambridge and their kids. Though you probably won't bump into them in the hallway, it's still a fascinating window into the lives of royals past and present. The State Rooms are open to public and during your visit, you will find a lot of interesting paitings and other historical objects from the Royal Collection.
