A quick paddle from the historic Fort Matanzas, the Matanzas Inlet's shallow flats of often white beach sand afford an excellent location for beginner yakkers and paddlers to get their sea legs under them before venturing into deeper waters.

Although not equipped with any amenities or convenient facilities, if you can find parking at the inlet's public lots, we highly recommend this touring this local favorite.

The Matanzas Inlet will not disappoint.
