Kbal Spean and Banteay Srei Shared Tour
In the Morning
After breakfast, we'll make the 50km drive to Kbal Spean. This Angkorian archaeological site on the slopes of the Kulen Mountains contains the River of a Thousand Lingas and a waterfall. The river is located on a 150m stretch of the Steung Kbal Spean River which is around 25km from the main group of temples near Angkor Wat.
The site has a number of rock carvings which depict the phallic symbol of the Hindu god Shiva. There are also other Hindu mythological motifs including carvings of Hanuman, Lakshmi, Rama, Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma.
In the Afternoon
After lunch, we'll start the tour with a short journey to Banteay Srei which is a beautiful temple located about 35km outside of Siem Reap town. You'll also have the opportunity to stop at a local community along the way and I will help you to experience the daily life of the locals living there. We can also taste some palm wine and palm sugar (depending on the season) and try other local products. On the way back we'll stop at the landmine museum.
