
Learn to Cook with a Venetian in the Heart of Venice
Bio:
Gioia is a proud, native Venetian whose family has lived in Venice for generations. Gioia learned to cook watching her mother in the kitchen. She remembers how her mom never bought a single vegetable from a supermarket - she always bought from farmers. Continuing her mother's tradition, Gioia is very particular about her ingredients and only purchases it from farmers and local sellers. Even on days when she is tired she can't bring herself to buy a bottle of tomato sauce and instead prepares it from scratch herself. Gioia is a private chef and also teaches cooking classes professionally. She is passionate about cooking and an experience enjoying her food on her peaceful terrace surrounded by plants is a great way to escape the touristy part of Venice.

Cooking Experience:
Learn to cook everyday Italian dishes at home with Gioia in her kitchen. Using the freshest of ingredients, Gioia will teach you to cook three dishes that may include risotto, pasta or gnocchi, Italian style vegetables, and tiramisu. The cooking portion of your experience will last about 2 hours before you enjoy the meal you helped prepare in courses.
