Mount Arthur Flora Trail start

An all-day tour which includes a circular route through the Nelson Tasman region, including the stunning Motueka river valley. This tour takes the narrow, gravelled road that climbs through Kahurangi National Park to the Flora car park at just over 1,000m height. This is the start point for the Mount Arthur tramp taking climbers to the highest peak on these Western Ranges. There are several great, short forested walks to be enjoyed around the car park area with stunning views out over the Nelson Tasman region and Tasman Bay.

For this tour, we use the BMW X5 to carry up to four guests in comfort. We can provide a healthy, tasty picnic with some excellent local wine, or bring your own packed lunch. (Picnic $20 per person). Day Out’s concession with the Department of Conservation (the National Park authority) does not allow us to conduct guided walks, though we can make recommendations and point out start points.
