North Indian Cuisine in a Fun Neighborhood
Kashyap, who used to work for the Navy, is an accomplished cook and food writer, having written multiple restaurant reviews for “Marie Claire.” He has passed his love of food to his daughter, who also writes restaurant reviews.
What to expect:
Cooking Experience:
In your hands-on cooking lesson, Kashyap and Chumki will teach you to prepare 2-3 North Indian dishes that feature the use of spices such as cumin, turmeric and coriander.
Meal:
You will be welcomed into Kashyap's modern home in the Hauz Khas neighborhood of Delhi with snacks and a welcome glass of beer or juice. You will then share an authentic North Indian meal with Kashyap and his wife Chumki which may include dishes such as roasted gobhi (cauliflower), soolas (barbecued goat), jhinga (prawn) curry, capsicum and paneer (bell peppers and fresh Indian cheese), seasonal vegetable, lentils, salad, pickles, papad, rice, traditional chapatti, and dessert.
Choose a starting time, either: 11:30am or 6:30pm.
