This tour is the best choice for an exciting day balanced between the thrill of paddling down the white waters of a mountain river and the relaxed visit to some of Gerês highlights.

Although Vez is a turbulent river, originated in the 2nd rainiest mountains in Europe and preferred by kayak enthusiasts all over the world, we can offer different runs suited for everyone regardless of the level of expertise.

You will be challenged to overcome a few rapids and to take the most of every fall and to enjoy every bump of these crystal-clear waters bordered by luxurious vegetation.

After a traditional lunch, spend a wonderful afternoon exploring the Peneda-Gerês National Park. Visit an ancient village, its medieval castle and peculiar stone granaries. Discover the magnificent Albergaria forest and take in the dramatic granite landscapes.

10 is not a strict rule, if you think your child has the skills to handle the rapids you’re welcome to bring your kid.

If you have younger kids, please contact us – we can offer a more suitable route with less rapids or on a mountain lake.

• Wear weather and hiking appropriate clothes and shoes

• Bring swimwear ‚Äì to dress up and take off on location (to avoid returning wet) -, a towel (you can rent one for 2‚Ǩ) and flip-flops (not essential)
